As I remember it, the first Beatles class was a John Lennon thing sometime in 1994. The proto ensemble formed in 1995, and the earliest documented performance is Sgt. Peppers of session #5 1996.When I look back I see cycles - for some reason I've always referred to them as incarnations. the second cycle was when the kindle happened, and I first noticed itwith the Abbey Road of 1999. The third cycle was the British Releases Tour which began in 2003 and the fourth began session #1 2006 with the American Releases Tour. 2009 is a year of short hops - the two Past Masters discs and the Red and Blue releases, and a new cycle starting to form . . .
The Beatles Ensemble wasn't my first, or only, kindled class. They are legendary names - Guitar 17, McDowell's Rangers, Mona and the Rats, and Purlocity - and The Dead Ensemble and stretches of both FRE and Lunar, and others unnamed. And before all comes Jimmy's Dylan Ensemble of 1993-95. But the BE was different.
